    Original story from Sept. 4
In what was anticipated to be an emotional night, hundreds gathered at the Justin F. Kimball versus David W. Carter junior varsity football game Thursday, Sept. 4 to honor the victims who died in a car accident over the weekend.
It was during halftime where the student-body descended on Sprague Stadium to remember the three fallen athletes who played football for Kimball. The ceremony featured a selection from the Knight Train Band, a special presentation to the victims’ families by the Kimball Student Council and a balloon release by the school’s Academy of Hospitality and Tourism. The Dallas Independent School District, the students, staff and community will continue to rally around the affected families.

The Kimball Knights varsity team will take on the Carter Cowboys at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6 at Kincaide Stadium, where a tribute to the families will be made, beginning with a moment of silence before the game.
