0Starting Aug. 11, almost all Dallas ISD new and returning students can be enrolled in school online. By utilizing online enrollment, parents don’t have to wait in lines to fill out paper forms at the campus to enroll their child. “Additionally, online enrollment helps Dallas ISD reduce paper waste, while creating a convenient, fast, and accurate online enrollment experience at your fingertips,” the online enrollment stats. Dallas ISD preps new teachers for the classroom (video)
0Dallas ISD welcomed new teachers to the district as part of a New Teacher Academy event held Aug. 6 at Fair Park. At the event, teachers new to Dallas ISD heard from district leaders and learned about initiatives such as the Teacher Excellence Initiative and Destination 2020. TEA releases accountability ratings for Dallas ISD schools
0Approximately 97 percent of all Dallas Independent School District campuses met state standards for student progress and 89 percent of schools achieved requirements for college and career readiness, according to data released today by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). In all four categories—student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness—Dallas ISD outperformed thresholds set by the state. Overall, 190 of 227 (84 percent) Dallas ISD campuses met state standards, up from 184 the previous year.
