On Oct. 22, 2021, Dallas ISD started accepting offers for the purchase of four district properties through two Request for Bids. The Request for Bid (RFB) packages are available on the Procurement Services Department webpage under the “Supplier Opportunities” link.  The properties for sale were declared surplus to the district’s needs by the Board of Trustees. The deadline for submitting purchase offers is Dec. 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. The opportunities are: Sale of Surplus Properties Sale or Exchange of Surplus Properties

La Agencia de Educación de Texas (TEA) y el Departamento de Servicios de Salud del Estado de Texas (DSHS) están lanzando un proyecto nuevo de pruebas de COVID-19 para lo que resta del año escolar. Dallas ISD está preparando el material de prueba y capacitará a quienes las administrarán en las próximas semanas. No se administrarán pruebas a los estudiantes y el personal hasta que concluya la transición. Por el momento, puede hacerse la prueba en una farmacia CVS o en el sitio de pruebas de Parkland Hospital, ubicado en Ellis Davis.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) are launching a new COVID-19 testing project for the remainder of the school year. Dallas ISD is working to transfer all testing materials and train test administrators in the coming weeks. All testing for students and staff will be put on pause while this transition takes place. In the meantime, CVS locations and Parkland Hospital at Ellis Davis offer free COVID-19 testing.

Como cada año, esta semana Dallas ISD dio inicio a la campaña de donaciones por empleados en colaboración con United Way of Metropolitan Dallas y en beneficio de la Fundación Educativa de Dallas (DEF) con el fin de recaudar $150,000. La Fundación Educativa de Dallas es la división filantrópica de Dallas ISD, que en 2020 proporcionó más de $3 millones en subvenciones para maestros, programas, tecnología y para cubrir necesidades en las escuelas y el proyecto Dream Big.
