Dallas ISD students and team members will enjoy a fall break, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 10.
Teachers will return on Monday, Oct. 13, for a professional development day, while students return to campuses on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Students in pre-K through eighth grade will continue to receive complimentary State Fair tickets. High school students will receive a discount code to purchase a general admission ticket online. Discounted tickets are valid Monday through Thursday only. Families should also plan to cover the costs of food, games, and rides.
Students are encouraged to demonstrate appropriate behavior so everyone can enjoy the fair responsibly while representing themselves, their schools, and families in a positive way.
Any student who exhibits illegal and/or dangerous behavior will be escorted out of the fairgrounds.
The State Fair’s Minors Policy will remain in place. After 5 p.m., all minors, age 17 and under, must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old.
