Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts officially opened its new state-of-the -art recording and production studio on Oct. 16. The studio is the culmination of a $1.7 million capital campaign that began with the Advisory Board and the 2018 Crystal Charity Ball. “The Arts Magnet has long been a pacesetter at honing the skills of talented young people to prepare them for success in their chosen artistic career,” Superintendent Michael Hinojosa said. “This new recording and production studio represents a giant leap forward in our arts education program.” Designed by Russ Berger Design Group, the…

Dallas ISD families are invited to the 2019–2020 STEM Night with the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 18 at the American Airlines Center. STEM Night is a designed seminar to provide insight into the different facets of the STEM industry. Attendees will hear from various panelists as they discuss their personal successes, as well as what they do in STEM and how they got started. The event is an educational workshop intended to promote education.
