Downtown parade to celebrate SOC championship team
0A downtown parade and ceremony at Dallas City Hall will celebrate the South Oak Cliff High School Golden Bears for winning the state championship. https://thehub.dallasisd.org/2021/12/13/game-on-south-oak-cliff-football/ The parade will start on Jan. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and S. Pearl Expressway and end at Dallas City Hall. A ceremony with school and district leaders and elected officials will follow the parade at City Hall. Twenty Dallas ISD schools have been invited to march in the parade.

iLearn Virtual School coming in fall of 2022
0Next fall, Dallas ISD will launch iLearn Virtual School, a standalone virtual school offering anytime, self-paced instruction for students in grades 3 through 9, and ultimately grades K-12. The school will be led by Monica Morris, a 17-year veteran Dallas ISD educator, who began as a math teacher at W.W. Samuell High School before serving as both an assistant principal and associate principal at Woodrow Wilson High School and the Townview Magnet Center.
