Students returning to Dallas ISD can keep district-issued computing device over the summer

All students returning to Dallas ISD next school year can keep their district-issued computing device over the summer. This includes district-issued iPads, Chromebooks, and laptops.

Graduating seniors (excluding summer program participants) and students withdrawing from Dallas ISD should return their device to their home school or nearest Technology Support Center by June 18. Graduating seniors who participate in the summer program should return their device by July 1.

Students moving to a new school within Dallas ISD in the fall will keep the same device they have now, and planned equipment refreshes will be made in the fall.

By keeping their devices over the summer, students can stay engaged with the district’s many summer learning opportunities. Students will have access to all the same instructional materials – and cybersecurity tools – as they did during the school year.

Additional instructions regarding password resets will be provided during the summer.

Summer tech support available

Dallas ISD will continue offering technical support to parents & students throughout the summer. Please contact the IT Service Desk at 972-925-5630 Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM, or email ITServiceDesk@Dallasisd.org.
