Today is Veterans Day, a national day of recognition for those who have served in the U.S. military in times of peace and conflict.
From the classroom and school administration to professional and support roles, hundreds of Dallas ISD employees are veterans of military service. Today, they are serving our students and communities with the same honor, courage and loyalty displayed as active members of the military. As role models, they are teaching and modeling what it means to serve with discipline and pride.
Dallas ISD staff and students are encouraged to salute these heroes and heroines for their service to country and the cause of freedom.
