Dallas NAACP recognizes Board President Justin Henry with one of its highest awards

The Dallas National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has selected Dallas ISD Board of Trustees President Justin Henry to receive the Juanita Craft Award, one of its highest honors.

“You have been a standard bearer in making sure that every citizen, especially minorities, have the same opportunities to experience their American Dream,” Dallas NAACP President Aubrey Hooper wrote in a letter to Henry.

The Juanita Craft Award in Youthful Empowerment and Educational Engagement is named in honor of the late Dallas City Councilwoman and NAACP icon. Dallas NAACP will present Henry with the award at the Juanita Craft Freedom Fund Scholarship and Awards Gala on Nov. 16 at Sheraton Hotel Dallas
