Ceremony at Six Flags celebrates the power of showing up

The Dallas ISD Attendance and Truancy Education Department celebrated the power of showing up at Six Flags on Monday.

All Dallas ISD students with five or fewer absences this school year received a Six Flags coupon for free entry to the park this week with the purchase of a regularly priced adult ticket. Through the help of a partnership with Six Flags Over Texas, schools promoted the Strive for No More Than 5 imitative  by challenging students and parents to commit to limiting absences to no more than five days for the school year.

In addition to a ribbon cutting, Monday’s kickoff featured a Looney Tunes Dance Party.

The student ticket deals are valid at Six Flags until Sunday.
