A recent collaborative luncheon brought together Dallas ISD’s new Office of Racial Equity, Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation, and the City of Dallas’ Office of Equity and Human Rights to discuss equity issues.

The Equity Luncheon was held at the Hall of State in Fair Park, and historical societies from several communities—Remembering Black Dallas, Dallas Mexican American Historical League, Dallas ISD’s American Indian Education Program, Dallas Jewish Historical Society—presented on their preservation, research and archival efforts.

This was the first of many equity-focused collaborative events.
