Dallas ISD held a special ceremony to celebrate 4,600 students in grades 7–12 who have demonstrated academic excellence.

More than 600 students attended the Scholars Recognition Ceremony at Ellis Davis Field House. The event celebrated students who have met the college and career readiness level on the PSAT, SAT or ACT, or have scored in the 95th percentile on the STAAR. Students received pins and cords celebrating their accomplishments.

“We are hoping beyond the recognition piece of it, this will help motivate students on their path through determination,” said Mitch Morken, Director of Advanced Academic Services.
