Best schools in the nation

U.S. News and World Report has ranked four Dallas ISD campuses among the 100 best schools in the country. (See the schools)

Early College High School designations

The Texas Education Agency has announced Early College High School designations for 23 Dallas ISD campuses. (Read this)

Support Professional of the Year

Lincoln High School community liaison Sheila Walker has been named the Texas State Teacher Association’s Education Support Professional of the Year. (Learn more)

Inspiring everyday heroes

Local heroes inspired students at Conner Elementary School to become the next generation of community heroes. Conn’s HomePlus presented the event and also donated a washer-dryer to the school. (Watch this)

Celebration of diversity 

Benjamin Franklin Middle School celebrated its diversity at its second annual International Festival that spotlighted the work of late Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes. (Learn more)

Learning from the pros

The Dallas ISD Reading Language Arts Department hosted a career panel at Southern Methodist University that saw six notable professionals in the Dallas area give students an inside look at possible future careers. (Read this)

NAF recognition

The Dallas ISD NAF Senior Recognition Ceremony honored hundreds of seniors who completed a program of study in a NAF academy and demonstrated academic excellence in Career and Technical Education programs. (Learn more)

Discover Summer
