Fifth-graders from Preston Hollow Elementary School got an up-close look at college thanks to a field trip to Texas A&M University in College Station.

The field trip was part of the school’s effort to ensure every student is college and career ready.

“We thought it would be a great idea to take our students to a dynamic college campus so that they could begin looking at their options for college and career,” said Rhiannon Vejar, a counselor at Preston Hollow Elementary. “The students had a great time and got a lot out of the visit.”
