Literacy celebration

Students and staff at Halliday Elementary joined with business and community volunteers to celebrate literacy at a special reading event. (Read this)

Guinness World Record setter

More than 700 scary smart Dallas ISD students broke the Guinness World Record for largest programming lesson on Monday. (Watch this)

Recipe demo

Culinary students at Thomas Jefferson High School competed in a recipe demo in the hopes of getting their recipe in a Medical City Children’s Hospital kid-friendly recipe book. (Watch this)

Essay contest winner

Aiden Ross, a student at Dealey International Academy, won the Hero Two Doors Down Essay Contest with his essay on why Wolf Blitzer is his hero. (Read this)

Intro to commercial real estate

Sixty-four high school girls got an introduction into commercial real estate thanks to a mock development competition hosted by the Commercial Real Estate Women’s Network. (Watch this)

Yoga for students

The African American Success Initiative has partnered with yoga practitioners to offer an amazing experience to students through mindfulness training. (Watch this)

Students head to the polls

Some students from Lincoln and Carter High Schools have already taken to the polls as first-time voters for the presidential election. (Read this)
