At its first college and career awareness seminar, the Academy of Information Technology students learned everything from how to properly tie a tie to how to talk with a future boss when they go out to lunch.

The college and career expo at South Oak Cliff High School was part of an effort to hone students’ soft skills so they are ready to succeed either in the business world or at a college function. The event also included sessions of students conducting a mock interview with community partners and a resume writing workshop.
