District to seek waiver for third inclement weather day

By The Hub on March 24, 2015 News Briefs

The district intends to seek a waiver from the Texas Education Agency so that schools will not need to make up the third inclement weather day that took place March 5.

If the Board of Trustees and TEA approve the waiver, the last day of school would remain Friday, June 5.

The district has two inclement weather days built into the calendar in case weather causes the closure of schools. The two inclement weather days, which will serve as the make up days for Feb. 23–24, are scheduled for April 3 and June 5.
