In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, Jennifer Chandler of US Trust, who had served as Principal for a Day (PFAD) at the School for Talented and Gifted, donated lunch for all 170 faculty and staff members at Towvniew Magnet Center this week. Meanwhile, two other PFAD participants, Cristy Ecton of Children’s Health and Kelly Proctor of Texas Instruments, donated gift cards for drawings.

The Region V Texas Academic Pentathlon Competition was April 29 at Dade Middle School and saw 24 middle schools participate. Students competed in Literature, Social Science, Math, Essay and Art. Tests were based on the theme: World War II.
