Born in Honduras, Wildrem Andrade Matamoros moved to Dallas at the age of nine and was enrolled at Louise Wolff Kahn Elementary in Dallas ISD. A graduating senior from Trinidad “Trini” Garza Early College High School who is headed to the University of Texas at Arlington has earned a Tu Futuro scholarship from Univision Dallas-Fort Worth that not only brings a life-changing educational opportunity, but enables them to make an impact in their community. The Texas Education Foundation Network (TEFN) recently presented the Dallas Education Foundation with its Outstanding Achievement Award for the foundation’s 2021 Heart of Teaching Campaign. TEFN is a program of the Texas Pioneer Foundation.
