Dallas ISD to hold first-ever “gaming expo”

ISD Day connects vendors with local school districts for business opportunities
0Dallas ISD is home to thousands of vendors from across the DFW Metroplex, with products ranging from art supplies and spiritwear to gaming equipment and various food services, and these business partnerships benefit students in a multitude of ways. Vendors will get a chance to network with the district on Nov. 8, from noon to 3 p.m., at Forester Athletic Complex Field House. Ty’s final touch
0When boredom strikes and there’s a sewing machine around, it’s amazing what can happen. At least that was the case for Ty’Viana (Ty) W., a junior at Lincoln High School and a member of the school’s Purple Flash dance team. As an eighth-grader in 2020 when the pandemic struck, Ty said, “I was randomly scrolling on Google and came across the term fashion designer, researched it, and decided that’s what I wanted to do with my life.” When she shared her plan with her parents, they immediately went to buy her a sewing machine, investing in her creativity.
