Health concerns eased in Dallas ISD

District sends background check Information to the state
0As an educational institution, student safety is the top priority of Dallas ISD. Recently, allegations were made that Dallas ISD does not have completed background checks for all employees. Upon learning of the allegations, the district immediately initiated its own review of the fingerprinting and background check records. In addition, as the Texas Education Agency (TEA) also received the allegations, TEA announced that it was initiating a review of the district’s employee background check records. A week and half ago, Dallas ISD conducted an internal review of background check records for all of its more than 20,000 current employees. The…
Parents, community urged to take school-choice survey
0The dream of every parent to have their child attend a school that is tailored to their style of learning and is chosen by the parents themselves is becoming a reality in Dallas ISD. They are being called Public School Choice Schools. Dallas ISD schools that give parents the option to choose a school for their child based on the quality of the school and the child’s need, rather than just having them go to a traditional neighborhood school.
