Dallas ISD implements new safety protocol for athletic events
0To enhance safety at athletic events, Dallas ISD now requires all students attending district-hosted games without a parent, guardian, or other adult responsible for the student to present a current student badge for entry. The badge must be for the Dallas ISD school that is competing in the athletic event. This requirement also applies to visiting non-Dallas ISD schools. Students without a school-issued ID, and Dallas ISD students from other high schools, will not be permitted to enter the event unless accompanied by an adult. Enrollment on the rise in Dallas ISD, exceeding projections
0With just days into the new school year, Dallas ISD is experiencing record enrollment. On Aug. 22, Superintendent Stephanie S. Elizalde, Ed.D., briefed the Board of Trustees on the most recent enrollment numbers for the 2024-2025 school year. “After declining for nine years in a row, enrollment is up and has already exceeded our projections,” said Elizalde. “That is a testimony to our campus leaders, our teachers, our community partners, our parents, and this Board of Trustees.” The district projected 137,500 students for the current school year, based on a school-by-school analysis. Summer Breeze 2024 makes a splash
0Almost 30,000 Dallas ISD students participated in this year’s Summer Breeze program. The initiative, led by Extended Learning Opportunities, offers various enrichment programs across Dallas ISD campuses, from credit recovery and tutoring to day camps, like chess, cheer, dance, robotics, and more. When in Rome- Skyline students study abroad in Italy
