Dallas ISD Cares: A roundup of the different school donations this holiday season
0Volunteers and partners have really stepped it up this holiday season, bringing their time and donations to schools across the district. Here’s a roundup of some of these donations: Students at N.W. Harllee Early Childhood Center were all smiles as they received early Christmas presents: draw string backpacks full of pre-approved supplies donated by FedEx Office (read this). William L. The Golden Bears are on the move
0Students and staff at South Oak Cliff High School are ramping up to move to Village Fair Jan. 9, 2018. The move is in preparation for the renovations of their campus, which is scheduled to begin in January. While renovations to Village Fair are underway, crews are working to complete the improvements in time for students to return from the winter break. Village Fair is expected to be their temporary home until August 2019. Mark your calendar to attend one of the four scheduled workshops – Tuesday, Jan. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Conrad and Thomas Jefferson High Schools, and Thursday, Jan. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at W.W. National Blue Ribbon just one of many successes at Obama MLA
0The present, past and future of the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy were celebrated during a special ceremony on Dec. 15 to commemorate the school’s 2017 National Blue Ribbon. National Blue Ribbon winners are public and private schools that demonstrate overall academic excellence or progress in closing achievement gaps. In September, Obama MLA was announced as one of 342 Blue Ribbon schools this year.
