Transportation is provided for students taking in-person beginning-of-the-year assessments
0From Sept. 9–30, Dallas ISD schools are administering beginning-of-the-year assessments to help inform teachers exactly where students are so they can best tailor the supports they will need. Students are encouraged to take the assessment on their campus, though they do have the ability to take the assessment from home. Dallas ISD is providing transportation for the in-person assessment, and you can go here to see the shuttle stops for each campus. 0Story Update Sept. 2: In response to the delay in the start of school as the result of coronavirus data, the Office of Transformation and Innovation (OTI) has adjusted the timeline for the Public School Choice 7.0 proposal process. The new deadline for the Letters of Intent is September 25, 2020. OTI will offer virtual professional development and proposal writing support September through December 2020 to all applicant teams. Dallas ISD is pivoting to phased-in athletic and related UIL activities
0At this time, classes for all Dallas ISD students will resume Tuesday, Sept. 8, in a distance-learning model. Based on the recent leveling out of Dallas County COVID-19 cases, the district is permitting the phased-in start of athletic conditioning and other designated UIL activities beginning Sept. 8. Current plans call for the athletic activities to occur outdoors.
