0The Dallas ISD Board of Trustees Thursday night approved materials for an optional sexual health and reproduction unit that, under state law, requires parents to provide written consent for their student to opt in and participate. Under state law, parents also have the right to review the materials in advance and can have their student participate in just part of the class. If a parent does not provide their written consent, the student will not participate in the unit. 0Dallas ISD is saddened beyond words and heartbroken for the loss of innocent lives, as we join every community across Texas and the entire nation to condemn the senseless violence in Uvalde ISD. School safety is the number one priority of every district, and Dallas ISD is committed to continuously improving safety procedures and monitoring at schools. Students asked to return all district-issued devices, accessories and chargers before summer break
0To update the Dallas ISD One-to-One device program, the district needs to collect all student devices, accessories and chargers. Please make sure your student has the device charged and ready to turn in at school on their assigned turn-in date. Please note that failure to turn in the device by the end of the school year will result in the device being listed as missing and/or lost, and the device will be locked and unusable.
