Conn’s HomePlus partnered with Hewlett Packard (HP) and Dallas Cowboys safety Kavon Frazier to gift 120 laptops to four Dallas ISD schools. Students had the opportunity to meet and engage with Conn’s HomePlus CEO Norm Miller and Frazier as they made surprise visits to all four campuses to personally present the laptops. Miller hopes the donation will help students strive to do better in school, and he encouraged the students to always put their education first. “Hopefully these laptops will assist in your education efforts and you can use them to make it happen,” said Miller. At the age of 15, Joshua Suarez went from being an ordinary kid worrying about school to fighting for his life against stage four testicular cancer. Deloitte, the Northern Texas PGA (NTPGA) and United Way announced seven recipients of this year’s Deloitte/NTPGA Fairway to Success scholarships, a program that now has awarded more than $1.1 million to local students over the past decade.
