Dallas ISD is one of the first districts in the DFW area to have average teacher salaries now exceed $64,000 under the Teacher Excellence Initiative! For comparison, $64,000 is equivalent to more than 20 years of service in the DFW market. As approved by trustees in June 2021, Dallas ISD committed to provide about $17 million in teacher salary increases this school year. Nancy Lieberman Charities selected two Dallas ISD campuses as recipients of the foundation’s Dream Court™ program. Teamed up with Toyota and the Dallas Police Department, Nancy Lieberman Charities this week unveiled the two Dream Courts, at Stevens Park Elementary School and Jesús Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard. It’s 4 p.m. at S.S. Conner Elementary School’s district-run afterschool program, and cheerleaders are pumping up a group of 70 students as they enjoy a healthy snack. Now with full bellies and high spirits, the students go into classrooms and center themselves with deep breathing exercises and social and emotional learning practices.
