Adelle Turner Elementary School recently hosted National African American Family Involvement Day (NAAFID), a day that is meant to celebrate and encourage African American families to maintain an active and ongoing role in their child’s academic life. Magnet Schools of America, the national association for magnet and theme-based schools, recently recognized four Dallas ISD campuses. Among the four, three schools won the National Magnet School of Distinction award and one school was named a National Merit School of Excellence. Congratulations to CityLab High School for participating in and advancing a team to the “Speak Up Speak Out” state competition, which will be held on March 6 in Austin.
