Dallas ISD’s Billy Earl Dade Middle School capped off its homecoming week with a special event focusing on another big football game – Texas-OU. The Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl draws the biggest crowds to the State Fair of Texas each year.

Rep. Eric Johnson hosted an academic pep rally at the school on Friday, Oct. 7, to encourage students to focus on academics to carry them through college to successful careers.

Special guests included Dallas ISD Trustee Bernadette Nutall; Oklahoma University graduate and former football player Dane Zaslaw; University of Texas cheerleaders and mascot Hook ‘Em, which performed with Dade Middle School cheerleaders along with the Dade band.
