Every Career Institute across Dallas ISD recently celebrated Signing Day, recognizing Class of 2026 seniors as they commit to their next steps in the workforce.
While each campus hosted its own ceremony, all events honored students as they signed with employers, trade schools, and apprenticeships.
“The event is significant because it highlights CI students in the same celebratory way athletics or college signing events traditionally do,” Brandon Harper, Career and Technology Education coordinator, said. “It validates the hard work students have put into completing programs of study, earning certifications, landing internships, and preparing for careers immediately after graduation.”
Students recognized during Signing Day completed industry-based certifications and rigorous CTE programming, positioning them for immediate entry into high-demand fields such as healthcare, skilled trades, construction, technology, and more.
Across all campuses, the presence of industry partners and guest speakers reinforced the strong connection between classroom learning and real-world opportunity.
Each signature represented purpose, preparation, and a clear path toward a successful future. These celebrations brought together families, teachers, administrators, and industry partners to support students as they transition from program completion to career launch.
This milestone reflects the collective efforts to ensure students graduate with more than a diploma, but with a plan and a profession.
