Parent meeting to detail plans for relocation of Franklin D. Roosevelt students and staff

Parents of students at Franklin D. Roosevelt and O.W. Holmes Classical Academy are urged to attend a virtual parent meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, to discuss plans to relocate Roosevelt students to the Holmes campus to safeguard students and facilitate construction on the Roosevelt campus.

Building crews are at work on a $61.7 million renovation at Roosevelt, with the goal of substantially completing the work in time for students to occupy the building next August. Plans for the temporary move were prompted by the pandemic, the recent snowstorm and other unforeseen circumstances that have affected the construction timeline.

Parents are asked to join Thursday’s virtual meeting to get details and ask questions about the plan to relocate the Roosevelt staff and students attending in-person classes to the Holmes campus at 2001 E. Kiest Blvd. The link to the Zoom meeting is posted on the Holmes and Roosevelt webpages.
