By The Hub on March 19, 2018 Headlines

The STEM-Computer Science and Technology Department wishes to congratulate the four schools that have advanced to the VEX IQ Robotics World Championship set for April 30 in Kentucky.

The teams are:

  • Winnetka Elementary School (two teams competing)
  • Casa View Elementary School
  • Dallas Environmental Science Academy
  • George Bannerman Dealey Middle School

Congratulations also goes to the two schools advancing to the FIRST Robotics World Championship set for April 17-21 in Houston. The School of Science and Engineering will compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge and Emmett J. Conrad High School will compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition.

Competitive robotics helps to foster interest and awareness in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). It also supports the district’s goal of ensuring each student is involved in at least one extracurricular activity.
