Pinning ceremony

A pinning ceremony recognized the 36 students in the Samuell Early College High School program who are graduating high school with an associate degree. (Learn more)

Shark Tank contestant visits Donald Elementary

Shark Tank contestant Doug Marshall, who now runs a multi-million-dollar business, visited L.O. Donald Elementary School to challenge students to develop their ideas into real products or services. (Read this)

Health Services Employee of the Year

Albert S. Johnston Elementary School Nurse Angelique Sanders has been named the Dallas ISD 2016–2017 Health Services Employee of the Year! (Learn more)

NAF distinguished recognition

The Academy of Hospitality and Tourism and the Academy of Engineering at Justin F. Kimball High School both recently received NAF distinguished recognition for the 2016-2017 school year. (Learn more)

Principal of the Year

The Southeast Dallas Chamber of Commerce named Skyline High School Principal Dr. Janice Lombardi as its 2017 Principal of the Year. (Read this)

Hero helps fellow teacher

Samuell High School JROTC instructor Sgt. Dewye Jiles came to the rescue of Tatum Elementary teacher Carolyn Myers when she got in a serious car wreck on her way to school. (Learn more)
