Food and Child Nutrition Services flexes the Core 4

The word is out. Core 4 is in, and the Food and Child Nutrition Services (FCNS) staff members are leading the charge to strengthening their customer service core.

More than 200 FCNS managers gathered to talk about providing exemplary customer service to every student and parent they interact with and to each other.

Rallying around the Core 4—focused, fast, flexible, and friendly—the FCNS “A” team, as termed by Executive Director Michael Rosenberger, celebrated the efforts of fellow teammates and talked about the importance of creating a positive experience for every customer they serve.

The group was quick to point out just who their customers are, “anyone who is not you,” one enthusiastic staffer quickly replied.

To top off the afternoon, the group recognized three winners in the baked bean competition for their efforts to spice up a beloved recipe. Those champions are: Talaunda Jones from Amelia Earhart ES; Regenia Miles from Mt. Auburn ES; and Maude Brown from Elisha Pease ES.

This dynamic team meets each month and plans are underway to continue strengthening the team’s core.
