Cynthia Izaguirre, a Dallas ISD graduate and co-anchor on WFAA, celebrated National Teacher Appreciation Day by thanking Mr. Woody, who worked as band director when she attended Thomas Jefferson High School.
“Mr. Woody fought for his students, he fought for those of us who couldn’t afford uniforms, he fought for the people who couldn’t afford instruments,” Izaguirre said. “Just as much as we respected you, you respected us.”
