Dallas ISD teachers looking to beat the heat can enjoy a buy one, get one free ticket deal to a Hawaiian Falls water park later this week. Hawaiian Falls is honoring teachers, members of the military, first responders and other influential leaders as part of Heroes Week Wednesday, which is happening August 3–7 at all six of its water parks. Families in the Highland Hills area who are planning to attend the Mayor’s Back to School Fair on Friday, Aug. 5, have the option for free transportation from the Highland Hills Library courtesy of DART. DART will offer free transportation from the Highland Hills Library to the event at Fair Park. Each year, students who participate in the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AOHT) cluster at Justin F. Kimball High School are thrust in to real-world experiences. But it’s not met without high expectations. Pants must be neatly pressed and, once shirts have been ironed, it is only fitting for them to be worn tucked in.
