South Oak Cliff High School will host the first Prep U Super Saturday event of the 2016-2017 school year on September 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. Parents from throughout the South Oak Cliff pattern are encouraged to come out and take advantage of the available free resources.
Prep U events are presented by the Dallas ISD Office of Family and Community Engagement and are designed to help parents by providing a free, “one-stop-shop” where community organizations offer strategies and resources to support children academically, emotionally and socially. The event will include over 40 resource booths featuring giveaways, free books and a family reading area. Free health screenings will also be available, including immunizations for children two months to 18 years old.
The South Oak Cliff Prep U event will be a family affair, so make sure to bring the kids for free food and drinks, door prizes and games, student entertainment and face painting.
