Students from Dallas ISD’s Sunset High School are training this week to be part of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). The training will help them know how to respond in the event of natural disasters, fires or terrorist attacks. Additional CERT classes will be offered this summer, and so far, more than 2,600 Dallas residents have been trained. See the entire CBS 11 story here.

The annual Dallas ISD Summer Dance Intensive is in its final week, with students in grades 3-5 learning skills in a variety of dance skills including ballet and modern dance, as well as lessons on choreography, performance and other skills. When Skyline High School cleans out a closet, there’s no telling what treasures will emerge. In this case, there are yearbooks from as far back as 1975 that are available for sale until Friday, June 23. Yearbooks are $45 for years 2014, 2015 and 2016, and $25 for  years 1988-2013. There are also a limited number of yearbooks from the 1970s and 1980s. Order a yearbook online here. The school will accept cash, debit and credit card payments, and yearbooks must be picked up from the school 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
