Whiters Elementary schools, along with neighborhood businesses, hosted a Winter Wonderland holiday market where students from both campuses collaborated to build a World Record Human Candy Cane. Students at N.W. Harllee Early Childhood Center were all smiles as they received early Christmas presents: draw string backpacks full of pre-approved supplies donated by FedEx Office. FedEx Office donated 1,000 of these backpacks to Dallas ISD as part of its FedEx Cares Day, 300 of which went to Harllee. William L. Cabell Elementary School students have gone wild. Specifically, the students received endangered species adoption kits thanks to a donation by Serena Simmons Connolly on Dec. 14.
