Despite naysayers and hardships, Thomas proceeded to have an athletic career that personifies resilience. High School Thomas, a 6’9” forward/center, started two seasons at Hillcrest High under head coach Steve Scott after transferring from David W. Carter High School following his sophomore year. Dallas ISD Board of Trustees approve Legislative Agenda priorities, prioritize safety
0The Dallas ISD Board of Trustees approved five priorities for the 88th Session of the Texas Legislature, during the Jan. 26 board meeting. Key priorities include funding and supporting the following initiatives: School safety Safety will continue to remain a top priority for Dallas ISD. To ensure students remain protected against any potential threat, the district seeks an increase in the state’s School Safety Allotment to a total of $200 per student, which currently stands at $9.72. Dallas Teen School Board taste-tests potential new menu items
0Ever wondered how Dallas ISD chooses new and exciting food items for its school lunch menu? In a partnership between the Food and Child Nutrition Services department (FCNS) and the Dallas Teen School Board, the district is able to redefine the way students and staff experience food.
