Digital literacy and artificial intelligence integration within Dallas ISD
0Dallas ISD is at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into educational spaces, ensuring educators and students can leverage digital tools responsibly and effectively. To ensure a strategic, well-supported rollout of AI tools for instructional and administrative purposes, Dallas ISD brought representatives from multiple departments across the district together to form an AI task force. Bishop Arts Bike Club builds confidence and community
0“I’m doing it! I’m doing it,” shouted second grader Isabella G., as she rode her bicycle without training wheels for the first time. Chiniqua Varner-Busby, principal at William B. Miller Elementary School, said second grade is the perfect age to learn about water safety. “Second graders are mature enough to understand the basic foundation, and understand it’s not just play…

The number of students signing up for after school programming has steadily increased over the last few years, said Leonidas Patterson, director of Student Activities. This is due, in part, to the department’s focus on expanding programming for elementary students, he said. “As a result, most of the districtwide programs sponsored by the department are vertically…
