It is important for kids to keep up their reading when they aren’t in school, and Dallas ISD is here to help. “Having students spend the summer reading books they enjoy will help them academically and instill a lifelong joy of reading,” said Douglas Frank, curriculum manager for Reading Language Arts. “Research shows that students who read a minimum of 10 minutes a day will see improvement in overall achievement, vocabulary exposure, and reading fluency. Students discover nature’s classroom at STEM Environmental Education Center
0In Seagoville, Texas, on a sprawling 500-acre plot, a new adventure awaits students every day at the STEM Environmental Education Center. Dancing on – Dallas ISD hosts summer dance intensive
0A lifelong dancer who bounced back from an injury, Riah H. understands what it’s like to start over. “I never really got back out there, so I had to start from the beginner level,” she said. “That was very humbling for me, and I learned a lot.
