Dallas ISD joins collegiate academy partnership with SMU Guildhall, Dallas County Community College District
0SMU Guildhall has joined a partnership with Dallas ISD and the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) to create new opportunities for students to earn free and transferable college credit before they graduate high school. As a Dallas ISD Collegiate Academy partner, SMU Guildhall will work with students enrolled in the Gaming Pathway at Dr. Emmett J. Conrad High School in Dallas’ Vickery Meadow neighborhood. Day of the Dead brings families together at Blanton (video)
0Parent involvement is a big part of student academic success at Blanton Elementary. The school hosted its second annual cultural night celebrating the Day of the Dead to bring families together and celebrate the diversity of the school community. Fourteen district schools receive high-performing designation
0The Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently released a list of Title I schools designated as high-performing, which includes 14 in Dallas ISD. A Title I school is one with a high percentage of children from low-income families. Such campuses receive federal funding to help ensure that all children, regardless of family income, meet state academic standards. The high-performance schools on the list have earned distinctions based on student reading and math performance. For high schools on the list, a high graduation rate is also considered. Discover Dallas ISD Fair to showcase district schools and programs
0The Dallas Independent School District (Dallas ISD) will host a districtwide showcase of school offerings with representatives from all 228 district schools, at the Discover Dallas ISD Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.
