0Dustin Marshall won reelection to the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees in the runoff election held June 10. Marshall represents District 2, which covers North and Near East Dallas. Marshall ran against Lori Kirkpatrick in the runoff election. Neither candidate received at least 50 percent of the vote on May 6, which caused the June runoff election. Interim bridge program approaches close with dozens of school improvements
0By next June, the district’s $148 million interim bridge program will wrap up having completed its goal of making critical infrastructure improvements at some 30 schools across the district. As its name implies, the interim bridge program, approved by trustees in 2015, was a stopgap funding measure created between the 2008 and 2015 bond programs to address pressing campus maintenance and space issues.
