Halloween safety tips for a fun, family-friendly night
0The Dallas ISD Police Department is helping parents and students make the most of their trick-or-treating adventures while keeping safety a top priority. Below are their top five tips for a fun-filled and safe evening: Trick-or-treating is safer, not to mention more fun, in groups. Kids under age 12 should be joined by adults for trick-or-treating. Get together with other adults and make an evening of it. Bring cellphones for quick pictures and emergencies, but leave them in your pockets to avoid getting distracted. Slow down and be alert. Authors from Henderson Elementary inspire students to dream big
0Inside the pages of her new book, “Namaste Y’all,” Margaret B. Henderson teacher, Smriti Adhikary tells the story of Gayatri, a young girl adjusting to life in the U.S. after moving from Nepal. At the same school, fellow author and school librarian, Kena Sosa, is guiding Adhikary through her journey as a new author. “I am thrilled to be working with another author.
