0Today is Veterans Day, a national day of recognition for those who have served in the U.S. military in times of peace and conflict. Report: Dallas ISD home to the best STEM schools in the country
0Dallas ISD is home to the top two STEM schools in the country, according to a new report from Newsweek. School of Science and Engineering and the School for the Talented and Gifted top the rankings of 5,000 public and private STEM schools in the United States. Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School, the School of Health Professions and Dr. Wright L. Lassiter Jr. Early College High School are also listed in the rankings. Dallas ISD’s P-TECH program hosts education leaders from across the world
0From Missouri to China, Dallas ISD’s P-TECH program this week hosted educational leaders from across the globe. The district’s P-TECH program provides the opportunity for students to earn up to 60 hours of tuition-free college credit–or an associate degree–while still in high school. Students also gain real world experience from industry partners. Dallas ISD is home to 18 P-TECHs, which is the most of any school district in the world.
