Updated: Class cancelled at 20 Dallas ISD schools due to Oct. 20 storms (list of schools)
0(Update Oct. 21 at 10:43 a.m.) Dallas ISD school leaders are visiting campuses damaged by last night’s storms to assess damage to campuses. Based on the assessments, the district is developing a plan to begin repairs where possible and reassign students from seriously damaged schools to nearby campuses with the capacity to serve them. Currently, it appears that Thomas Jefferson High School, Edward H. Cary Middle School and Walnut Hill Elementary School—all in the northeast area of the district–sustained the most serious damage. The theme, “School Lunch: What’s on Your Playlist,” spotlights how school cafeterias are serving up healthy menu items that kids want to eat, with increased choice and customization. Principal for a Day brings more than 200 business and community leaders into Dallas ISD schools
