New Dallas ISD grant program will expand innovation in neighborhood schools
0The Dallas ISD Office of Transformation and Innovation has launched a new initiative to expand innovation in neighborhood schools. The Innovation Engine Grant Program will annually award up to 20 neighborhood schools $50,000 in seed money to help them explore and implement innovative education models. Interested school teams can go here to learn more and apply by the Sept. 6 deadline. “The purpose of this program is to deepen and expand innovation in neighborhood schools throughout the District,” OTI Strategic Development Manager Courtney Rogers said. New L.G. Pinkston High School on the horizon
0The new L.G. Pinkston High School is a state-of-the-art facility that is planned to open in fall 2021. As plans develop for this highly anticipated facility, much interest has been generated. This new school will house 1,000 students with future expansion capacity for an additional 500 students. The project consists of a three-story building totaling 226,948 square feet located on a 20.79-acres lot. Free school supplies and health checkups for Dallas ISD students at Mayor’s Back To School Fair
0The 23rd-annual Mayor’s Back To School Fair will provide Dallas parents and children with everything they need for the first day of school. There will be several free services, including health checkups, dental and vision screenings, immunizations and haircuts.
