Dallas ISD high school students honor U.S. veterans during annual parade
0Students from Woodrow Wilson and W. W. Samuell high schools kicked off Monday’s Greater Dallas Veterans Day Parade. The JROTC units did the Presentation of Colors and marched carrying a total of 100 flags while reciting the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance. “For some of the students, it’s their first time in a parade,” said Army First Sergeant Willie Fedd, who teaches JROTC at W. 0Today is Veterans Day, a national day of recognition for those who have served in the U.S. military in times of peace and conflict. Report: Dallas ISD home to the best STEM schools in the country
0Dallas ISD is home to the top two STEM schools in the country, according to a new report from Newsweek. School of Science and Engineering and the School for the Talented and Gifted top the rankings of 5,000 public and private STEM schools in the United States. Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School, the School of Health Professions and Dr. Wright L. Lassiter Jr. Early College High School are also listed in the rankings.
