With 2,035 applications for 400 seats this year at four schools, Dallas ISD has seen a big demand for its Montessori program. 0Eight outstanding young public speakers from Dallas ISD have advanced to the finals of the MLK Jr. Oratory Competition. Their performances can be watched live starting at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, by clicking on this livestream link. Foley Gardere designed the annual oratory competition to recognize and encourage the writing and oratory skills of elementary students. Toyota and United Way donate thousands to teachers
0Toyota and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas provided grants to almost 20 educators from five Dallas ISD schools on Monday. The “DRIVE presented by Toyota” grant provides financial support to select educators in the Adamson and Pinkston feeder patterns. Each awardee received a monetary donation ranging from $500–$2,500. The purpose is to equip teachers with tools and resources to enhance learning.
