Dallas ISD receives S&P rating increase, first upgrade in four years
0For the first time since 2015, the Dallas Independent School District (Dallas ISD) received a rating increase by Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Global to AA+, one notch below the highest possible rating. The district previously held steady at a AA rating over the last four years. Dallas ISD, Region 10 Education Service Center and the Texas Education Agency hosted the 2019 Blended Learning Grant Program Kickoff Summit Dec. 5-6 in Dallas. 0Dallas ISD officials announced the winners of the 2019-2020 Principal of the Year award during a special ceremony at the Dallas Arboretum. The winners are: Elementary: Ida Escobedo, principal of Margaret B. Henderson Elementary School Secondary: Francine Taylor, principal of H. Grady Spruce High School Choice: Nancy Bernardino, principal at Solar Preparatory School for Girls at James B.
